ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: മുന്കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിയും ബിജെപിയുടെ മുതിര്ന്ന നേതാവുമായ ജസ്വന്ത് സിംഗ് അന്തരിച്ചു. 82 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. വാജ്പേയി മന്ത്രിസഭയില് അംഗമായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം വിദേശകാര്യം, പ്രതിരോധ, ധനകാര്യ വകുപ്പുകള് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
അഞ്ച് തവണ രാജ്യസഭാംഗമായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. നാല് തവണ ലോക്സഭാംഗമായിരുന്നു. പ്രതിരോധമന്ത്രി രാജ്നാഥ് സിംഗ് ട്വിറ്ററിലൂടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മരണ വാര്ത്ത അറിയിച്ചത്.
